When people hear his call sign
“Spy Ratt” they often think of a nasty little rodent scurrying thought the
gutters below their feet but this is far from the
truth when describing SGT Washburn and his style of Combat.
When “Spy Ratt” is on the field
there no mistake about it.
Built like a Linebacker, he likes to charge into combat head on and
get in your face. And when
he wants to raise the intensity up another notch, he'll come in blazing
with the loudest AEG on the field!
Size and noise can be
deceiving. When
required, SGT Washburn can sneak his way in when the situation requires
it. In fact
his sneaky abilities is how he proudly earned his callsign, while serving as a
Ground Radio Maintainer in the U.S. Air Force. Also known as the “Ground Ratz”,
his job was to make sure aircraft could land. However, during
base combat exercises, his willingness to go to extreme length
to get as close to the enemy as possible (such as crawling through
Korean "Bin-jo" sewers), got himself dubbed the “Spy" Ratt.
Despite his size and style of
combat, SGT Washburn is very good-natured and one of the more sociable
members in the group.
