ACCESSORIES

BB Loader or Carry Container
There are several types of BB loaders that are useful for carrying extra ammo on the field. Some look like hand grenades, which fit nicely in the grenade pouch on the side of M-16 ammo pouches. Excel also makes a BB container that is shaped like a standard M-16 magazine, so it fits right into your ammo pouch.

Spare Batteries
Always good to have just in case.  If your gun uses mini batteries, you will never get through a Cimmerian re-enactment operation without at least one spare battery.  In cold weather, batteries do not last nearly as long as in warmer weather, so carry more spare batteries in cold weather.  Also, in cold weather, you should keep your batteries inside your sleeping bag with you at night on camping operations to prevent battery drain overnight.

Spare Goggles, Lens Cleaner, and Soft Lens Cloth
If your goggles become damaged, scratched. or cannot be kept from fogging up, it is a good idea to keep a spare pair in your butt pack just in case.

Renactor Grenades
Many Cimmerians carry one or two renactor grenades into every operation.  These are very effective in infantry operations.

Camouflage Face Paint
Nearly all seasoned Cimmerians now wear military face paint into battle.  Compacts are available from all suppliers and include green, brown and black make-up so you can match the woodland pattern right on your face.

Goretex Rain Parka & Pants
Cimmerians engage in combat re-enactment regardless of weather conditions. When it is raining or snowing, it's important to stay dry and warm. Goretex is a special material that is designed to keep moisture out while letting inner moisture produced from sweating escape, which keeps you dry at all times.

Compass or GPS
More and more Cimmerian operations involve the triangulation and location of an objective based on GPS coordinates or compass headings. Every Cimmerian should carry at least a military issue lenstatic type compass in a compass pouch on his or her web gear.  Should you ever get lost in terrain, a compass may help you find your way back to a road or landmark if you know how to use a compass.

Duffle Bag, Helmet Bag and Backpack
As you gather gear for re-enactments and camping, you will find it harder and harder to transport your gear efficiently.  You are advised to invest in good military-issue gear bags for all your equipment.

M-65 Field Coat
This is a heavy cold-weather coat that has an available removable liner which attaches inside the coat shell with buttons.  This type of coat is highly recommended for operations throughout the year, especially at operations that include camping.  These coats are available in all the same camo patterns as are BDUs.

Polypropylene and Comfort Skin Long Underwear
A set of military-issue poly underwear is essential for operating in cold weather or for camping operations. Cimmerians sometimes engage in winter operations and camp in temperatures as low as -10 degrees F below zero without complaining .  The poly long underwear comes in heavy and lightweight. Comfort Skin is ultra lightweight.

Balaclava
These are used to wrap around the head and shoulders and are useful in cold weather to help keep warm, as well as in hot sunny climates to prevent sunburn. Face/Sniper Veil: Great as a face concealer. Also, look great as a scarf. Knee & Elbow Pads Military First Aid Kit: Always good to have just in case. Also adds more to the military look when worn on your web gear. Military Flashlight: Always come in handy for camping trips and adds more to the military look when worn on your web gear.

Elastic Boot or Pants Blouses
These devices help pouch the bottom of your BDU pants for a more distictive military paratrooper look.  Blousing the bottom of your pant legs also helps keep debris out of your boots.  You can use the built-in ties at the bottom of your pants to achieve this same effect by tying them airly tight around your legs, then pulling down the fabric over the tied cord.

Green Whistle
It is best to find a military issue unit.  Attaches to your web gear with a neck cord and can be used for "Mission Over" signalling or emergency use.
